E-Waste
E-Waste Removal and Recycling

E-Waste is a popular, informal name for electronic products nearing the end of their "useful life." Computers, televisions, VCRs, stereos, copiers, and fax machines are common electronic products. Many of these products can be reused, refurbished, or recycled. Unfortunately, electronic discards is one of the fastest growing segments of our nation's waste stream.

It’s estimated that about 85% of electronic waste ends up either in our country's landfills or sent by recyclers overseas to third world dumps. Believe it or not, your old computer is considered toxic waste. For example, each CRT monitor contains four to eight pounds of lead. You’ll also find mercury, cadmium, beryllium, and traces of many other toxic chemicals within the electronics. Even the plastic housing of your equipment contains dioxin, a highly toxic chemical.

Most of us have e-waste sitting in the garage or stored in the basement. Proper disposal is now being mandated by most of the US. Cities and towns do not have the funds or resources for collection. To help with this problem we have created our E-Waste Round Up’s.

Let Reduce My Eco Footprint come to your office, neighborhood, retail store, or organization and create a customized e-waste event. We come fully staffed to load our trucks with all your e-waste, insuring that all collected items are properly disposed, recycled, and reused.
